Migrate from Wix. Take your content and rankings with you.

I move your pages, blog, collections and SEO settings from Wix to Webflow, or to custom development in Astro with Sanity. Old URLs get redirected, so Google loses nothing.

What carries over
Wix → Sanity CMS

Why people leave Wix.
And when it's time.

A Wix site goes up fast. The trouble starts when you want more control over SEO and speed, or when you want to move somewhere else.

  1. You can't take your content with you

Wix has no full-site export. Collections go to CSV, page text from the editor doesn't.

  2. URLs the Wix way

The blog lives under /post/, products under /product-page/. You only partly control your URL structure.

  3. Slow loading

The site carries the scripts of the editor and every app. Core Web Vitals are hard to tune when the code isn't in your hands.

  4. An app for everything

Forms, bookings, reviews, pop-ups. Every app is one more script and often one more subscription.

  5. Layouts that shift

The classic Wix Editor places elements freely on a canvas. On mobile they drift, and you end up adjusting every page twice.

  6. Custom logic only in Velo

Whatever Wix can't do, you solve with Velo code. It only runs on Wix, so it can't move with your site.

Where to from Wix?
Depends on who runs the site.

WEBFLOW

You want a visual editor

CHOOSE IT IF…

  • You edit pages visually like on Wix, just with clean code
  • It's a company site, a blog or campaigns
  • Webflow takes care of hosting, backups and updates
Webflow development

SANITY CMS

You want a modular custom site

CHOOSE IT IF…

  • Marketing builds pages from ready blocks without a developer
  • The site connects to your systems and data
  • You want top speed and code without platform limits
Custom development

Not sure? I'll recommend one after an audit.

What carries over.
And what replaces the apps.

I pull the content out of Wix from CSV, through the API and from the published site, and move it into the new structure. Here's where everything goes.

How a Wix migration works.
From export to rank monitoring.

  1. Wix audit

    Wix audit

I go through the whole site, export the collections and list the pages, apps, URLs and the content that won't leave Wix on its own.

  2. URL map and redirects

    URL map and redirects

/post/, /product-page/ and other Wix prefixes become clean new URLs, each with a 301 redirect.

  3. Content conversion and cleanup

    Content conversion and cleanup

I move posts and page text into a clean structure. Whatever Wix won't export, I pull from the published site.

  4. Your content review

    Your content review

You go through the site in a dedicated feedback tool. You leave comments right on the page, and I fix them.

  5. Launch

    Launch

I switch the domain, check redirects, forms and analytics, and submit the new sitemap. You cancel your Wix plan only after you've checked the new site.

  6. Post-launch monitoring

    Post-launch monitoring

I watch Search Console and traffic. Whatever shows up after launch, I fix.

Send me your site's URL. I'll tell you what it takes.

I'll go through your site, apps and collections and suggest whether to move to Webflow or go custom. No commitment, no sales pitch.

What people ask
about leaving Wix.

Can I export my whole site from Wix?

Not all of it. Collections and products export to CSV; I pull the rest of the content through the Wix API or from the published site. The design doesn't carry over. I rebuild it, closely based on the current one if you like.

Will my blog posts and their URLs carry over?

Yes. I move the posts along with their categories and images and redirect every /post/ URL to its new one with a 301.

What about the apps I use on Wix now?

I go through every one. Webflow and Sanity handle forms and languages on their own; bookings or reviews get connected to a standalone service. Some apps you won't need at all.

I bought my domain through Wix. What happens to it?

We either transfer it to another registrar or just point it at the new site. Before the switch, I check whether your email runs through it too, so nothing goes down.

I have an online store on Wix. Can it be migrated?

Products can be exported from Wix to CSV. Whether to move the store to Webflow or connect a different solution, I'll recommend after the audit, based on how many products you have and how you take payments.

Will I still edit the site myself, like on Wix?

Yes. In Webflow you edit text and images right on the page, in Sanity in an editor with a live preview. The layout won't fall apart on you, though, because components hold it together.

Does Wix have to go offline during the migration?

No. Wix keeps running until you approve the new site. You cancel your plan only after the domain is switched.
