FAQ
Key things,
before we start
Pricing and timelines
What is the cost of Webflow development?
The cost of Webflow website development depends on the scope of the project, the complexity of animations, CMS architecture, localization, and third-party integrations. I price every project individually.
After the website launch, I work either on an hourly rate (you only pay for the time actually spent, no flat fees) or via a monthly retainer—it depends on what makes more sense for you.
How much does Webflow hosting and subscription cost?
The price depends on the plan you choose: Basic hosting starts at $15/month (billed annually), and if you need the CMS, count on the Premium plan at $25/month. More advanced plans are available for e-commerce or larger projects. I will always recommend the most suitable solution for your needs.
How long does it take to develop a Webflow website?
The implementation time depends on the complexity of the project. A simple website can be finished in 2-3 weeksMore complex projects will take 4—8 weeks. I will set the exact schedule at the beginning of the cooperation.
What is included in the price of web development?
It depends on the scope we define together up front: design, Webflow development, CMS, animations and interactions, optimization and testing. The quote spells out what is included, so there are no surprises.
Will I get a quote in advance?
Yes. After the initial consultation, where we clarify your goals and needs, I set a time frame and prepare a quote. You decide whether we go ahead only after you have it.
What if the scope changes during the project?
It happens and it is not a problem. We agree on what is changing, and I update the quote and schedule before I start on the change. Nothing is billed retroactively.
Webflow and technology
Why Webflow and not WordPress or Wix?
Webflow offers greater flexibility, faster performance, better efficiency, and cleaner code than WordPress. Compared to Wix, it provides advanced options for animations, interactions, and design customization.
What technologies and tools do you use?
I work primarily with Webflow, GSAP for animations and use modern tools like Figma (design) and Make/Zapier (automation). When developing Webflow sites, I also use Relume, Finsweet and the Client-First system for maximum flexibility and scalability.
Can Webflow handle a large website or an online store?
Yes. Webflow handles large sites with a CMS, multiple languages and integrations, and it has dedicated plans for e-commerce. If it is not the right fit for your goal, I will tell you at the start and suggest another solution.
Will the site have animations, and will they slow it down?
I build animations and interactions natively in Webflow and use GSAP for more complex work. Optimization is part of development, so the site stays fast and the animations serve the content, not the effect.
Who owns the website and the access?
You do. I hand the project over directly to your Webflow Workspace, so the site, the content and the access are under your control and you do not depend on me.
When does Webflow not make sense?
For a web application with logins, custom logic or integrations with your systems. I build those custom, for example in Astro or Next.js with Sanity. I will advise on Webflow versus custom development after the first consultation.
SEO and AI search
How is Webflow with SEO?
Webflow offers complete SEO Tools directly in the platform. Meta tags, automatic sitemap, clean code, fast hosting and, from 2025, automatic schema markup. Thanks to the clean code structure and fast loading Google and AI search engines easily index content, which directly helps in better placement in the results. I build every website with an emphasis on correct heading hierarchy, internal linking and structured data i order to have the best possible prerequisites for organic growth and visibility.
Can you optimize websites for AI search engines?
Yes, I offer SEO and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) for Webflow websites. This includes technical audits, llms.txt implementation, advanced schema.org markup, and content structuring for AI citations. It is a complement to traditional SEO, not a replacement.
Do you optimize the site for AI search engines like ChatGPT or Perplexity?
Yes, part of every project is optimization for modern search. I'm setting schema markup, structured data and the correct hierarchy of content so that the site is readable not only for Google, but also for AI search engines. Webflow has a great advantage in this, generating pure semantic code that AI models can easily process.
What is llms.txt, and does my site need it?
llms.txt is a text file that briefly tells AI search engines and assistants what your site is about and where the important content is. It is not a magic fix, but it is a cheap complement to clean code and structured data. I set it up as part of GEO.
Will the site be fast according to Core Web Vitals?
I build with speed in mind: clean code, optimized images and video, fast hosting and well-considered animations. I check performance before launch and deal with anything that slows it down.
Do you set up traffic and lead tracking?
Yes. I connect analytics and event tracking, such as form submissions or clicks on a contact link, based on what you want to measure, all in line with cookie consent.
Management and content
Is it possible to edit the site without knowing the code?
Yes, Webflow has a built-in CMS that lets you update text, images, and page sections on your own, no coding required. For anything more complex like new sections or custom functionality, I handle that.
Can I manage the blog and other CMS content myself?
Yes. Articles, projects, references and other items are managed in the Webflow CMS, which works like an editor: fill in the fields, add an image and publish. I design the CMS structure so that a non-technical person can find their way around.
How do you hand the site over, and will you show me how to use it?
At handover we go through how to edit the site, where things are and what to watch out for. The site and access go to your own Webflow Workspace.
Can the site have multiple language versions?
It can. Webflow supports localization, so the site can run in several languages with its own content, URLs and SEO settings for each version.
What if I want a new page or section later?
You can make routine edits yourself. For more complex things, like a new section, an interaction or a feature, I build them, either as a one-off or as part of regular support.
Migration
Migrating from WordPress to Webflow?
Yes, I offer complete migration from WordPress to Webflow, including redesign, SEO optimization, and hosting setup.
Will I lose my search rankings during migration?
I make sure rankings are protected: I keep or properly redirect URLs, carry over metadata and headings, and review the site structure. I keep checking redirects and indexing after launch.
Will you move my existing text, blog and images?
Yes. I move the content into the new CMS structure in Webflow, so you do not have to rewrite anything by hand. It is also a good chance to tidy it up and fill gaps.
Do you migrate only from WordPress, or from other platforms too?
Not only WordPress. You will find the platforms I migrate from on the Website migration page. If yours is not there, write to me and we will see what can be done.
Collaboration and support
How does collaboration work?
We will start cooperation with a consultation, where we will clarify your goals and needs. Next, we will set a time frame and prepare a quote. If you do not have a finished design, I will create a graphic design aligned with your brand and deliver it via Figma. Once you approve the design, or if you already have your own handouts, I will take care of Webflow development, including optimization, interaction and testing. I will forward the project directly to your Webflow Workspace. The whole process is transparent with the possibility of continuous adjustments according to feedback.
Do you offer support after launching a Webflow site?
Yes, I can provide management, maintenance and development of Webflow site according to your needswhether in the form of one-time updates or regular support. If you need long-term cooperation, we can set fixed monthly plan or deal with hourly rate adjustments.
Do I need a finished design?
No. If you do not have one, I create a graphic design aligned with your brand and deliver it in Figma. If you already have your own materials, I work from them.
What should I prepare before we start?
Just know what you want the website to achieve and gather what you have: a logo, texts, photos, a link to the current site. We will work out anything missing together during the consultation.
How does communication and feedback work?
The process is transparent. I show you the design and development as they progress and work your feedback in along the way, not only at the end.
